Maybe in eight years, I’ll be the president.

Jay-Z talked American politics with BBC Newsbeat this week and hinted that he may be seeking office one day. “Give me a chance,” he said. “Maybe in eight years, I’ll be the president.”

Jay-Z has more No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 list than anybody but the Beatles. He has sold more than 45 million albums. 10 Grammys. He is worth $450 million. And with an ownership stake in the New Jersey Nets, a sports bar chain called the 40/40 Club, a Live Nation profit-sharing venture called Roc Nation and a new book, Decoded (for which Microsoft has put up an estimated $1 million to market), his star does not look to be descending anytime soon.

I know this has nothing to do with immigration, except all of the predictions about immigration legislation have begun the day after the elections, and I like Jay-Z. (excerpts from culture mob)
