The undefeated Cain Velasquez, former Arizona State wrestler and member of American Kickboxing Academy, won the UFC heavyweight title in the main event Saturday in Anaheim CA.

A TKO over Brock Lesnar at 4 minutes, 12 seconds into Round 1, and Velasquez became the first Mexican-American Heavyweight Champion in the history of mixed martial arts.  Boxing has yet to see a Mexican-American heavyweight champ.

The fastest growing sport in the world has just broken through to a whole new audience.  With recent shows in Abu Dhabi, Australia, and a number of nations in Europe, UFC is fast turning MMA into a global phenomenon.
